U.S.: Satur Farms recalls baby spinach, mesclun over salmonella fears

New York-based Satur Farms is voluntarily recalling baby spinach and mesclun over concerns they might be contaminated with salmonella, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The recall announced on Jan. 23 involves product that was grown in Florida and distributed in New York and Florida through retail stores, the FDA said. No illnesses have been reported according to the company’s notice.

The voluntary recall is being initiated following routine sampling by Florida Department of Agriculture and New York State Department of Agriculture and markets.
