U.S. Supreme Court justices raised questions yesterday over Coca-Cola Company's labeling of its Minute Maid "Pomegranate Blueberry Flavored Blend of 5 Juices", news agency Reuters reported.

The Atlanta-based multinational has been taken to court by natural pomegranate juice producer POM Wonderful, which has alleged the Minute Maid juice to be misleading as it has just 0.3% pomegranate juice and 0.2% blueberry juice.

Reuters reported Coca-Cola's lawyers claimed the defendants could not be sued as the juice labeling complied with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.

However, Chief Justice John Roberts disagreed with that claim, Reuters reported.

"I don't know why it's impossible to have a label that fully complies with the FDA regulations and also happens to be misleading on the entirely different question of commercial competition, consumer confusion that has nothing to do with health," Roberts was quoted as saying.
