Mexican horticulture association opens U.S. marketing office
The Mexican Protected Horticulture Association (AMHPAC for its Spanish initials) has opened a marketing office in Nogales, Ariz., AMHPAC said in a statement.
AMHPAC is a non‐profit organization that represents 260 companies related to production, packing, distribution and trading of fresh vegetables produced from greenhouses, net shadowing, and macro tunnels in Mexico.
Eric Viramontes, CEO of AMHPAC said in the statement that the primary goal is “to unite and consolidate the Mexican protected horticulture industry into a solid force.”
The Nogales office staff will address distribution, supply chain and commercial interests in U.S. market. The office was opened in a ribbon cutting ceremony held on Nov. 30.
