Panama fruit exports fell in January
Panama's banana, watermelon and pineapple exports fell in January in comparison to the same period in 2010, Prensa-latina.cu reported.
A report from the Comptroller General of the Republic showed the value of banana exports fell 10% to US$6.681 million, from US$7.428 million in Jan. 2010, the story reported
The country's watermelon export values fell by US$551,000 and pineapples exports fell by US$374,000, reported Prensa Latina.
The Comptroller said Central America and Europe had become the main export destinations for Panaman products, the story reported.
