Zespri disputes kiwi production estimates
New Zealand kiwi exporter Zespri disagrees with kiwi production estimates published Jan. 17 on FreshFruitPortal.com.
According to ZESPRI’s  the estimate does not represent the impact of Psa.
"Only 11ha of kiwifruit vines have been removed due to Psa, which represents less than 0.1% of the industry. We’re optimistic about the season ahead with many growers commenting that they have good crop loads on their vines and that the fruit is sizing up well".
