Peru's frozen mango exports rise 13.4%
Peru's frozen mango exports rose 13.4% to 14,700 metric tons (MT) during the most recent campaign, according to customs figures between August 2010 and May 2011.
The exports were worth US$21.4 million with the U.S. market purchasing 53% of the total, followed by the Netherlands (9.9%), Belgium (7.9%), Canada (7%) and Japan (6.7%), website Agraria.pe reported.
In terms of companies, Sunshine Export shipped the highest volumes with 14.28% of the total, followed by Agrícola y Ganadera Chavín de Huántar (14.05%), Procesadora Perú (12.44%), Camposol (12.89%) and Gandules Inc (9.34%), the story reported.
