Minimum rural wage to rise in Brazilian state
The minimum wage of rural workers in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul (MS) will rise 10.7% today to BRL621 (US$393.90) per month, website Revistagloborural.com reported.
The wage rise deal was agreed between representatives of the MS Agriculture and Livestock Federation (Famasul) and the MS State Federation of Agricultural Workers (Fetagri) on Monday, the story reported.
Until today the minimum wage was BRL561 (US$355.84) per month, while workers who receive more than one minimum wage will be entitled to a 7% increase, the story reported.
