Dole expects first overseas blueberries soon
Multinational Dole has announced it expects the first arrivals of Argentine blueberries in Europe this season during week 37 (Sep. 16).
A Dole Fresh Fruit Europe release said the season would then progress with shipments from Uruguay and Chile, with a berry category sourcing that also includes strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and red currants.
"With sophisticated logistics and large expertise in air- and sea freight Dole is able to customise quantities and fulfil packaging requirements with high-standard designs and deliver the usual fresh quality every day," the release said.
"Cooperating with producers in Europe and overseas, who fulfil highest quality standards, Dole is able to provide its European trading partners with Dole-labelled goods reliably and throughout the whole year."
