Peru: Camposol makes big board change
Camposol's chief executive officer Fabio Matarazzo di Licosa has stepped down with chairman Samuel Dyer Coriat taking over, the board of directors has announced.
Executive chairman Dyer praised Matarazzo di Licosa's two years' at the helm which he said had positioned the company as a global player in branded produce.
He also thanked him for playing a leading role in opening the U.S. market for Peruvian Hass avocadoes. Following listing in 2008 Camposol has tripled its avocado planting areas to service the fast-growing U.S. market.
"The Board wishes him the best in his future endeavors and has decided to invite him to join as a member, an offer that he has gladly accepted. We are sure that in this new role, he will continue to serve Camposol with his insights with special emphasis on marketing and sales," said Dyer .
Dyer has a degree in business administration from the University of Miami, Florida with a specialization in finance and administration and has served as member of the Board since 2008.
Camposol will announce its results for the third quarter next Wednesday, Oct. 19.
