Argentine blueberry export arrivals up 17% in week 43
The Argentine blueberry season is now moving into full swing with volume arrivals rising 17% to 2,2030 metric tons (MT) in week 43.
Data released by the Argentinean Blueberry Committee shows arrivals during the week were up 10% year-on-year, but figures for the U.K. and Asia were down compared to 2010.
U.S. arrivals were up 13% year-on-year to 1,536MT, Canadian arrivals rose 11% to 126MT and continental Europe's purchases increased by 7% to 146MT.
Argentine shipments during the week rose further still by 20% to 2,108MT.
