Thousands of undocumented kiwifruit plants found on Spanish farm

The Spanish Civil Guard uncovered 14,000 kiwifruit plants without phytosanitary papers in the municipality of Galicia, www.agroinformacion.com reported.
Authorities intervened as a precautionary measure on the Tomiño farm where the plants were found without the necessary European Union paperwork used to control diseases such as Psa.
The plants have been left on the farm where they were found but they cannot be sold until the appropriate paperwork has been completed or until permission has been given by authorities.
Spain's environmental protection agency (Seprona) has informed local authorities to file a formal complaint.
