U.S.: Dole exec puts island mansion on the market for US$25M
Before Dole Food Company leaders David Murdock and C. Michael Carter were ordered to pay more than US$148 million in damages due to fraudulent activity in the company's privatization, one of them was trying to sell a 'labor of love' home on San Juan Island in Washington State.
Website Curbed.com reported the property, which at the time of writing was on the market for US$25 million, took 16 years to build for Carter.
According to a listing posted by Windermere Real Estate, the Eagles Nest Estate is perched above the clear waters on the island with 'awe-inspiring and sweeping views' and is 'extraordinary in every way'.
At the time of writing, the property had been on the market for 28 days.
