Compagnie Fruitière forms Hungarian company
A French company focused on importing West African fruit has made a new step towards strengthening its presence in Central and Eastern Europe.
In a release, Compagnie Fruitière said it had formed Compagnie Fruitière Hungary this month
"Compagnie Fruitière already markets its products in most Eastern and Central European countries through local partners, and will be even closer to its customers in the large-scale distribution industry and wholesale networks in Hungary with this new ripening centre," the group said.
"The site, ideally located near Budapest in an industrial estate close to major roads. It is equipped with the latest ripening technology, with 12 two-tier ripening rooms, each holding 24 pallets and providing a ripening capacity of 20,000 boxes a week.
"It is IFS-certified (International Food Standard) , and run by a team of experienced professionals."
