NZ kiwifruit grower group elects new CEO
New Zealand Kiwifruit Growers Inc (NZKGI) has announced Nikki Johnson will take on the role of CEO of the organization on April 11, 2016.
Johnson will succeed Mike Chapman, who stepped down to take on the role of CEO at Horticulture NZ.
NZKGI chairman Doug Brown said the appointment was an exciting opportunity for NZKGI to bring on board Johnson's energy and passion for the horticultural industry, and to support the group's strategic direction.
Johnson has managed NZ Citrus Growers Inc. for more than 10 years, transitioning the industry from a voluntary grower organisation to a professional organization with sustainable, compulsory levy funding and a strategic approach to investment of grower funds.
Johnson is also a founding director of Market Access Solutionz, a specialist biosecurity, regulatory systems, market access, international trade issues management and strategic industry management advisory company which has been successfully operating for over 13 years.
