Australia: Valleyfresh to open up offices in India, Saudi Arabia
Freshmax subsidiary Valleyfresh has announced it will soon have feet on the ground in two new global regions, with a July 1 opening expected for operational offices in India and Saudi Arabia.
In a release, the produce importer and exporter said the Indian office would service the entire Indian subcontinent while the Saudi Arabian operation would cater to the Middle East region in general.
Heading up the Indian office in New Delhi will be Gurdip Singh, who has 18 years of experience in fresh produce and has most recently represented the Washington Apple Commission in the Indian subcontinent.
In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the company has brought in Naseem Azam, who formerly worked at Abbar & Zainy Cold Stores. Valleyfresh said he had broad experience including air freight, shipping and local purchasing in the Middle Eastern market.
"This launch supports our ongoing commitment to customers to deliver on-the-ground support,"said Valleyfresh export director Doug Hammons.
"Not only will this help us to better service each of these regions locally, but also deliver stronger opportunities to supply them from our major export bases in ANZ, USA, South America, and South Africa."
