Capespan Global head steps down
After five busy years at the helm of Capespan Group, the group's managing director Johan Dique has announced he will retire at the end of the month following recent health challenges.
In a statement, Capespan said Dique had played a 'significant role' in the restructuring and turnaround of the business, and was key to Zeder's decision to increase its investment in the company.
The board has appointed Tonie Fuchs to take over from Dique on July 1.
Fuchs is a qualified attorney by trade and previously served as the COO of Thembeka Capital Limited, a private equity investment company. Fuchs joined Capespan Group in 2013 as executive assistant to the group's managing director.
Dique said Capespan would need 'handson and active leadership' in taking it to the next level.
"I remain excited about Capespan’s prospects for the future, but after much thought and deliberation with those closest to me, I believe that Capespan’s road ahead will best be served through new leadership," he said.
