New exhibition concept for SanLucar at Asia Fruit Logistica
With wall-high images depicting bright red cherries, trees full of oranges and juicy grapes, Spanish produce company SanLucar hopes to turn heads at the upcoming Asia Fruit Logistica event in Hong Kong on Sept. 6-8.
In a release, the group said this would be its third time participating in the trade show, which had become an important venue for key players in the Asian fresh produce sector.
"We want to deepen our business relationships in China and South East Asia and establish new contacts," said SanLucar international business development director Holger Brandt.
The group will be targeting buyers of cherries, citrus and table grapes, and highlights its premium brand is available at points of sale in China and Southeast Asia.
"We are in the beginning stage of our journey into the Asian market," said Brandt.
"Step by step we have been able to get to know better and better the needs and preferences of consumers in these countries."
The group added a growing amount of discerning consumers were willing to pay the right price for high quality, which puts SanLucar in a good position given its reputation of many years supplying premium quality produce to the European market.
"Among our competitive advantages is our own production. It allows us to offer new products and varieties and meet the taste of the Asian consumers," Brandt said.
