The protocol is still awaiting its official publication by the U.S. Federal Registrar and approval in the Chilean National Congress. 

The Global Grape Convention will be held Thursday, August 8 at the Casino Monticello Events Center in Chile and is organized by Yentzen Group.

The Peruvian table grape industry had a difficult season last year because the northern regions had low productivity due to climatic issues.

The first grapes exported under the System Approach are expected to start in November this year.

With a privileged position to export to the Northern Hemisphere and a great market window that allows it to dominate the grape market, Peru continues to build its reputation as an agricultural powerhouse.

The Brazilian industry is now awaiting the official announcement to begin exports.

This year, the sector expects promotable volumes from June through the beginning of January. 

Peruvian table grape industry are expecting a season with more abundance of table grapes, which is why prices will go back to normal.

The sector is looking at a total production of 62,5 million boxes, according to Frutas de Chile’s last industry survey. If realized, this would mean a 4% increase over earlier projections, which put production at 60 million boxes.
