Harvest situation in the Southern Hemisphere, week 16, 2012
Avocados
An 8% fall in exports was forecast for the 2012-13 Chilean avocado season, while Peruvian shipments to the U.S. were expected in May.
Pomegranates
Harvests were coming to an end in Chile's northern zone, with better quality compared to the 2011 crop. Peruvian exports were 300% higher year-on-year in the season to week 14.
